We have considerable experience of road planing having worked in the industry for many years on all categories of roads including car parks, rural roads, town centres, trunk roads and motorways. We can provide any size of machine required to achieve the necessary outputs and quality of work whether for full depth reconstruction or thin layer resurfacing.

By using machines equipped with automatic grade control systems, surfaces can be accurately milled to specified profiles and cross-slopes providing the perfect base for resurfacing.

Cold Milling is now the established way of removing and reclaiming materials and there is the substantial benefit that reclaimed materials can nearly always be recycled or reused, although this is not possible when removing car park coatings.

Fine milling provides the ideal surface preparation before the application of thin road surface treatments, anti-skid surface treatments, floor coverings, car decks, bridge decks and prior to the application of fresh road markings.

Our key machines for milling are the Wirtgen W35 DC and the Wirtgen W50 RI with a variety of cutting attachments for cutting 100mm to 500mm widths and cutting depths up to 210mm. The machines are capable of milling most surfaces including asphalt, concrete, vinyl flooring and tiles.

The W35’s can be fitted with a mini conveyer, which used in conjunction with a Bobcat Sweeper makes them ideal for footway work and small areas of patching. With a mini conveyor attached materials can be positioned on the ground or fired straight into a tractor bucket then loaded into a lorry for disposal or recycling.

Their excellent manoeuvrability means that these machines excel in tight areas such as inside buildings or trimming areas around ironwork, often required when working behind larger planing machines.

Our machines can be fitted with both fine and micro fine drums with cutting widths of 500mm or 350mm. The 500mm drum achieves excellent performance on large areas while removing the required depths and maintaining profiles. The 350mm cut is perfect for working small areas and for tasks such as reducing rumble strips or joint cutting.

With their environmentally friendly soundproofing and exhaust filters, the machines can also be fitted with dust extraction to compliment the standard fitted dust suppression.

Our range of cutting drums and attachments also enables us to carry out surface preparation works for shallow cabling through hard surfaces, Fibrescreed application and for crack repairs.

We can form slots at various sizes from 500mm wide down to 100mm wide at depths of up to 200mm in concrete and asphalt. This is primarily used on bridge joints and crack repairs in runways and highways.

We can supply Bobcats with planing and brush attachments at competitive rates. These are ideal for small jobs and trimming work where larger machines cannot reach. We can plane off, sweep, load and take away materials leaving your site clean and tidy.
